Manchester United retain an interest in Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic as they look to strengthen their forward line.
The club have also spoken to Red Bull Salzburg regarding Slovenian wonderkid Benjamin Sesko.
However, the Premier League side but remain reluctant to hit the Austrian club’s £55million asking price for the 19-year-old.
Chelsea and RB Leipzig are among the other clubs interested in the teenager, who scored 21 goals in 29 games on loan at second-tier side FC Liefering the season before last.
Sesko, widely considered one of the most promising players in Europe, scored 11 times in 37 appearances for Salzburg last campaign and has two in three this season.
The 6ft 7ins target man Kalajdzic has also attracted interest after scoring 17 goals in 36 games in his first full season at Bundesliga side Stuttgart in 2019-20, but suffered an injury-hit campaign last year.
At the moment, the only central striking options available to new United manager Erik ten Hag are Anthony Martial and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Frenchman Martial, 26, scored just one goal in all competitions last season for the Red Devils and was sent on loan to Sevilla in January.
Portuguese star Ronaldo, meanwhile, has expressed his desire to leave the club this summer after missing out on Champions League football.
