Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski has now rejected a chance to potentially join Premier League side West Ham.
Journalist Marco Giordano has reported about the situation of Zielinski, claiming that the Polish midfielder does not want to depart Napoli and he is not thinking about leaving the Partenopei this summer either. He has rejected an approach from West Ham, in the process.
Zielinski isn’t anyway appealed by the project at West Ham, with the salary on offer from the Hammers not said to be good enough. The fact that they do not play in the Champions League is also not an appealing prospect and the fact that Napoli play in the Champions League appeals to the Pole.
On top of that, there is now a feeling that Luciano Spalletti will have a new role for him in the team. Instead of playing him as a left central midfielder in a 4-3-3 formation, he is looking to play him out wide. And for now, Zielinski and Napoli will go on together, amidst talk of West Ham’s offer for the player.
