Hakim Ziyech

Chelsea expect to agree a deal with AC Milan for winger Hakim Ziyech but Christian Pulisic is in no rush to leave after being discussed as a makeweight in the bid for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Ziyech, who has been at Chelsea for two years, isn’t a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans and is set to be allowed to depart.

With Raheem Sterling likely to join from Manchester City, Ziyech would be unlikely to get regular playing time if he remained at Stamford Bridge.

Pulisic endured some frustrating moments last season as he wasn’t guaranteed a starting berth.

The United States international still has two years left on his contract at Chelsea.

Signed from Ajax, Ziyech has shown glimpses of his ability at Chelsea but hasn’t always performed with consistency.

In total Ziyech has made 83 appearances for Chelsea, during which he has scored 14 goals and provided ten assists.

Juventus centre-back De Ligt is one of Chelsea’s key targets in this transfer window, with Tuchel eager to bring in reinforcements in that area.

Chelsea have lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who both left following the expiry of their contracts.

The Blues have yet to make a major signing this summer, but new owner Todd Boehly is eager for new players to be brought in.
