Fresh off of completing his second season at Paris Saint-Germain, Danilo Pereira is aiming to stay put at the club, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The report adds that per Pereira’s entourage, the veteran midfielder has been rumored to be on the list of players who the club views as “undesirables.” Still, the Portuguese international has no intention of leaving the club over the summer transfer window.
Pereira was a regular for PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino in all competitions this season, which included logging 27 appearances in Ligue 1 play. He also earned a pair of starts in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid.
As it stands, Pereira has three more seasons remaining on his contract at PSG.
Pereira is among multiple veteran midfielders at PSG, so it remains to be seen on whether football advisor Luis Campos will go all out to offload him in the coming months in order to then revamp the unit with youth talents.
