Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal to sign Karim Adeyemi this summer as a replacement for the departing Erling Haaland, Sky in Germany reports.
Dortmund have been tracking the RB Salzburg forward for some time and have now agreed to pay 30m Euros (£25.2m) plus another €6m (£5m) in bonuses to sign him.
Haaland has a €75m (£63m) release clause coming into effect in June and Sky Sports News reported last week that Manchester City are ready to trigger it.
The reigning Premier League champions have been leading the race to sign Haaland this year and their most serious competition has been from Real Madrid, whose priority this summer is to sign PSG’s Kylian Mbappe as a free agent.
Adeyemi has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and PSG after scoring 20 goals in 39 appearances this season.
He will sign a five-year deal at Dortmund worth around 6.5m Euros (£5.5m) per year.
