Atletico Madrid will be without defender José María Giménez for their Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
The Uruguayan defender withdrew in the final minutes of the match against Alavés due to discomfort, and will now miss the match against Pep Guardiola’s team.
This was revealed on Monday morning as the team left Madrid for Manchester.
Giménez is not travelling to Manchester due to discomfort after the game against Alavés.

Yannick Carrasco is also not in the squad due to suspension, but former City defender Stefan Savic and ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will travel.
