Joan Laporta

After securing Spotify as their new primary sponsor, the Barcelona administration is currently negotiating with Turkish Airlines to fill the sleeve’s remaining spot.

The aviation firm, according to Mundo Deportivo, is particularly interested in collaborating with Joan Laporta.

Laporta has a long history with Turkish Airlines, and the corporation was linked to the squad during his initial tenure with the Blaugrana — from 2010 to 2012 – and conversations have resumed nearly a decade later.

It’s no secret that officials in the Barcelona headquarters are hard at work securing new sponsors, and the space up their sleeve is projected to generate between €10-15 million in revenue.

According to Laporta’s interview with RAC1, the team got up to six offers for this collaboration, but Turkish Airlines appears to have outbid its opponents.

“We are working. When you uncover the box of thunder with a sponsorship, everything opens up. We have six proposals for the sleeves of the shirt,” Laporta had said.

Turkish Airlines has one of the world’s largest networks, with operations across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America. As a result, they are the first airline business to have more destinations than any other competitor in the market.
