Arsenal Women were eliminated from the Champions League by Wolfsburg on Thursday night following a 2-0 loss, 3-1 on aggregate in the quarters.
In a match staged at Volkswagen Arena, Arsenal found themselves trailing inside nine minutes of play thanks to Jill Rord’s strike. The Gunners were on the hunt for a leveller but it got worse as Leah Williamson put the ball into her own net in the second half.
Wolfsburg held out and reach the semi-final stage for the seventh out of the last 10 years and will be up against Barcelona who eliminated rivals Real Madrid.

Elsewhere, Lyon survived the Juventus scare to book a semi-final date with Paris Saint Germain after registering a 3-1 win, 4-3 on aggregate
