FIFA has ratified Kenya’s suspension during a meeting in Doha Qatar.
The FIFA Council Federation suspended the Football Kenya Federation on 24th February 2022 with immediate effect suw to third-party interference, in particular, the takeover of the activities of the Football Kenya Federation by the caretaker committee appointed by the government.

During the meeting, 198 FIFA members voted to ratify the suspension until the country meets the demand set by the world governing body to reinstate the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).
The council further ruled that the ban will only be lifted once the pertinent requirements have been fulfilled.
With the current state of affairs, Kenya risks being locked out of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
Kenya is joined on the suspension list by Zimbabwe and Pakistan.
