Trent Alexander Arnold

Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of defender Trent Alexander Arnold ahead of their clash with Manchester City.

The Englishman picked up an injury before the Reds’ game against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup quarter-finals that kept him out of international duty with England and according to the Athletic, the player is doing all he can to be fit for their next league game.

James Pearce of in the reports indicates that the right-back could be fit for the tie in what might be the title decider this season; the game is set for Sunday 10th of April.

According to the report, Trent has some important ‘hurdles’ to clear before the Liverpool medical staff give him the green light to play against City.

Should he miss the game, Jurgen Klopp will have to choose either James Milner or Joe Gomez to slot at right-back with the latter slotting in the same position in the club’s last outing against Forest.
