Robert Lewandowski

Reports from Sport Italia indicate that Laliga giants FC Barcelona have reached personal terms with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish striker is said not to have been impressed by the way Bayern Munich is handling his new contract as he feels the terms don’t match his efforts in the team and would like to find a new challenge in the summer.

Lewandowski has a contract with Bayern until 2023 and feels that he can win the Ballon d’Or if he is to play in either Laliga or the Premier League as he has done everything needed at the Bundesliga and still missed on the top individual honors.

According to the reports, Barcelona is thinking about a €50m offer for the 34-year-old and may have to break their salary ceiling to bring him to Spain this summer.

The player has been linked with a move to Manchester United too but experts are of the opinion that his agent is using the media to increase his client’s bargaining power in the new deal he will sign with the Bavarians.

Other reports say that Bayern doesn’t want to put a lot of money on a player who is at the twilight of his career.
