Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero was as prolific as they come. He is arguably one of the best, if not the best, strikers to ever grace the Premier League. 

After almost a decade of success at Manchester City, the Argentine left the Premier League last season a true legend, having won almost all trophies on offer.

On Wednesday, he was rightfully shortlisted among the lastest 25 players for the Premier League Hall of Fame, with fans choosing six from the list.

Here are some highlights for a successful career well achieved. 

Aguero is a true Premier League icon and his name will always be remembered amongst the greatest players to have plied their trade in England’s top-tier league.

  • He carved his name into Manchester City history as the club’s all-time top goalscorer.
  • Scored one of the most iconic goals as Man City won the title in 2012, beating rivals Man United to the crown.
  • Won 13 medals during his nine seasons of incredible service: Four Premier League, 5 Carabao Cup, 1 FA Cup, and 3 Community Shield form the Argentine’s collection.
  • In 275 Premier League appearances, Aguero netted 184 goals
  • He is the fourth-highest goal-scorer of all time.
  • Notably, he is the only foreigner in the top five for most goals scored.
  • Besides his 184 goals, Aguero also has registered 47 assists.
  • Besides winning five league titles, Aguero also won the Premier League Golden Boot award in 2014-15 (26 goals).
  • He has also won seven Premier League Player of the Month awards.
