Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has vowed to take revenge when they battle Senegal in the World Cup playoffs.
The Liverpool forward was part of the team that lost to club teammate Sadio Mane’s Senegal in February’s final in Cameroon in an unforgettable match.
They meet again on Friday for the first leg of the playoffs with a ticket up for grabs.
Speaking ahead of the match, as reported by Egyptian media, Salah was optimistic they can finally get their revenge.

“We meet them (Senegal) again next month and inshallah (God willing) we will take revenge,” he said.
Senegal manager, on the other hand, knows it will not be an easy task, but said he has prepared his team well.
“Winning the Cup of Nations is not an end in itself because we share a common goal of playing at the World Cup again,” he told reporters.
Egypt will welcome back star goalkeeper Mohamed el Shenawy, who missed the Cup of Nations final through injury.
