Wembley will be the host of the intercontinental Superfinal cup between Italy and Argentina in June.
The match will see last summer’s Euros winners meet the Copa América winners in a Grand Final with the tournament organized by UEFA and Conmebol.
A statement from UEFA noted: “London’s iconic Wembley Stadium will be the setting for a showdown between UEFA EURO 2020 winners Italy and CONMEBOL Copa América 2021 champions Argentina on Wednesday 1 June 2022.”

The game will take place just days after the Champions League final and will be held at Wembley less than a year after Italy beat England there to win Euro 2020.
The reigning European champions and South American champions have met for the Artemio Franchi Trophy twice before, with France beating Uruguay in 1985 and Argentina defeating Denmark in 1993.
