Ligue 1 leaders PSG suffered their third consecutive away defeat as they slumped to a shocking 3-0 defeat against Monaco at the Stade Louis II on Sunday.

The hosts started the match brightly, forcing Mauricio Pochettino’s men into making numerous mistakes across the pitch.

Youssouf Fofana and Jean Lucas wasted three chances to give their side the lead, with one a horrendous miss.

Eventually, Monaco’s early dominance paid off in the 25th minute as Ben Yedder met Fofana’s delicious cross to flick in a beauty for his 16th goal of the season.

Fofana then forced another save from Gianluigi Donnarumma, with PSG restricted to two long-range efforts from Neymar, and Achraf Hakimi in the opening half.

Monaco picked the second half from where they left the first and added a second in the 68th minute to stun the runaway leaders.

Ruben Aguilar fed Kevin Volland inside the box, who was unmarked, and buried the ball in the bottom right corner.

PSG came close to grabbing one in the 78th minute when defense-splitting pass was taken stride by Mauro Icardi in the box, and without even looking up drilled a shot towards the bottom left corner, but Alexander Nubel pulled off a brilliant save.

Monaco then got another chance to add to their tally when Presnel Kimpembe committed a foul inside the box, making it easy for the referee to award a penalty.

Gianluigi Donnarumma got a hand on the penalty from Ben Yedder, but could not stop it from flying into the bottom left corner.

The loss comes on the back of 1-0, and 3-0 away losses against Nice and Bordeaux respectively.
