UEFA Champions League

The remaining eight teams in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League will learn their opponents when the balls are drawn on Friday.

This follows the conclusion of the round of 16 on Wednesday night with some unexpected results.

England and Spain will be represented by three teams each, with Germany and Portugal taking the remaining two slots.

Here is all you need to know about the upcoming quarter-final and semi-final draw.

Date and time

The 2021/22 UEFA Champions League quarter-final, semi-final, and final draws will be conducted on Friday 18 March at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

How the draw works

The draw will set the ties for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and a draw will also be held to determine the ‘home’ team for the final, for procedural reasons.

The draws are open, so there is no seeding or country protection. Any team can be drawn against any other team.
