Chelsea continue to use the logos of their sponsors despite the two main partners, Three UK and Hyundai, requesting to pause their current deals with immediate effect.

This comes in the wake of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s sanctions by the UK government. which have paralysed operations at the London club.

The Blues are not allowed to make any new financial transactions, including sale of merchandise and even tickets.

As a consequence, Three requested on Thursday afternoon to pause their £40million deal with the club.

Hyundai, who are the Blues’ sleeve sponsors, followed with a similar request, asking the club to remove their logo from all their playing kits.

This did not happen though as the Blues continued using the branded shirts on Sunday evening away at Newcastle.

According to reports, the reason why the club continue using the branded kits is that they do not have any stock of shirts without the logos and are currently unable to order more.

It awaits to be seen how the situation unfolds in the coming days, with the club revealing they have been in discussion with the club to find a solution soon enough.

The Blues’ next assignment is a Champions League match away at Lille on Wednesday night.
