AC Milan are ready to do battle with Inter to land Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca in the summer transfer window, according to a report
Spanish source Mundo Deportivo (via SempreMilan.it) claims that the duel between Milan and Inter is not only being played out on the pitch in the battle for the Scudetto, but also on the market where the two teams seem oriented towards the same target.
Both clubs have opened a dialogue with Sassuolo to talk about an operation to land the Italian centre-forward next summer, but the Neroverdi have halted any chances of either getting carried away as they want at least €45m to sell.
To try to curtail Sassuolo’s request, Milan are thinking of including some young and valuable technical counterparts such as Matteo Gabbia, Marco Brescianini (currently on loan at Monza) and even January signing Marko Lazetic.
These are three players that could lower the cash amount that Sassuolo would ask for by about €15-20m, however it is still too early to understand the real potential of this operation.
