Manchester United will welcome back Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, and Edinson Cavani when they face Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Ronaldo and Cavani failed to make the team after picking up hip injuries, while Varane tested positive for Covid-19.
Luke Shaw also missed the derby, and will still be out when United face Antonio Conte’s side.
Speaking during his pre-match conference on Friday, interim manager Ralf Rangnick further provided updates on his entire squad.
“With regard to players, we will still miss out Luke Shaw,” explained Rangnick at his pre-match press conference. “He’s, until yesterday, being tested positive with Covid, and Scotty is a question mark, he had some problems with his calf so we have to wait and see until after training today.
“But, right now, it is more likely that he will not be available because if we risk him tomorrow, he will more likely be out for the game on Tuesday. That’s why I tend, with muscular issues – even more so if it’s the calf muscle – I tend to be careful.
“Cristiano resumed training yesterday. He trained for the whole session and I expect him to be training today as well. He trained well, like the rest of the group, so I would have thought that he’s available for tomorrow. What’s important is that he and Edi are both back in training and are both available for the game.”
The London club will have almost a fully-fit squad to pick from, with their only notable absentee being Ryan Sessegnon, who will be out until after the international break.
“Ryan had a scan and he has a muscular problem,” said Antonio Conte. “I think he will need one month to recover. For sure, it’s a pity because, at the moment, Ryan is giving continuity in his performances and this is injury is no good for him, no good for the team.”
Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee) are also missing for the visitors.
