Portuguese star Pedro Neto has signed a new five-year deal at Wolverhampton Wanderers just days after his first start of the season.
Neto has been out of action for a long time after suffering a serious knee injury last April and only returned to action three weeks ago, making three substitute appearances before finally starting a game again as Wolves faced Crystal Palace at the weekend.
A statement from Wolves noted: “On the day he turned 22, Pedro Neto celebrated by signing a new long-term contract with Wolves.”
The player joined Wolves in 2019 and has since become a senior Portugal international and being named the club’s Player of the Season following a brilliant 2020/21 campaign.
What do you get @pedrolneto7 for his birthday? 🤔

A debut goal in the Europa League against FC Pyunik set Neto off with the player going on to score eight goals and nine assists in 64 Premier League appearances to date for the club.
He made his international debut in 2020 and appeared twice for his country in 2021 before injury ruled him out of last summer’s European Championships.
