England manager Gareth Southgate is set to omit Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford from his next squad.

The player is said to be considering his future at United over lack of playing time has just started two of the last 11 Premier League games for the Red Devils.

England will be taking on Switzerland and Ivory Coast in friendlies at Wembley but Rashford now looks set to miss out according to a report from ESPN.

The Three Lions boss has previously his ruthless streak on several occasions, dropping the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kieran Trippier, and Jadon Sancho from squads owing to their poor form at club level.

There have been claims that Paris Saint Germain might swoop for the player should they lose Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid in the summer but the current PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino, who has strongly been liked with a move to Old Trafford, is said to be a fan of the 24-year-old.

The player has put on hold any contract negotiations as he wants the club to be clear with him over his position; his current deal is set to end in 2023.
