So, ahead of the Hammers’ visit to Anfield, what is the team status, who’s available, who’s not?

Roberto Firmino

Speaking to the media last week, the club’s assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders said: “We hope he will be back really soon because you all see and know and feel how important he is for our way of playing, so I am happy that he is pushing himself. Hopefully, he is soon back.”

Thiago Alcantara

The midfielder was set to start in the Reds’ Carabao Cup final against Chelsea but picked an injury during the routine warm-up.

Speaking after the match, coach Jurgen Klopp suggested the Spaniard had an outside chance of featuring against West Ham, further suggesting the injury was not serious.

“He’s fine again but not fit again. Like always, you don’t know [how long he will be out] exactly. Weekend not sure, maybe Milan, after that definitely.”

Curtis Jones

Jones was substituted at half-time during the Reds’ 2-1 win over Norwich in the FA Cup on Wednesday night, with Klopp revealing after the match that it was just a precaution.

“We had to take him off because he felt his thigh slightly. I don’t think it’s a real injury, but there was no need to take a risk and that’s why we brought Harvey on, who was good,” he said.
