The FA Cup quarter-final draw was made on Thursday night ahead of the fifth-round tie between Everton and Boreham Wood.
The draw was conducted by England manager Gareth Southgate at the famous Wembley Stadium, which will play host to the semi-final action.
The big guns avoided each other in this round, with the likes of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool handed ‘favourable’ opponents.
Chelsea will travel to Riverside Stadium to face giant-killers Middlesborough, in what will be a replay of the 1997 FA Cup Final.
Boro knocked out Manchester United and Tottenham in the last two rounds respectively and will fancy their chances against the European and world champions.
Manchester City have been drawn against Southampton, with Everton, who beat Boreham Wood on Thursday night booking a date with Crystal Palace.
Here is the draw in full;
- Crystal Palace v Everton
- Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield Town v Liverpool
- Middlesbrough v Chelsea
- Southampton v Manchester City
Quarter-final ties will take place across the weekend of Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March 2022.
The winning clubs will take home £360,000 from the competition prize fund.
