FIFA has notified Russia that they would be unable to show their flag or play their national anthem prior to any of their forthcoming matches.

As a result of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, other nations, notably the three teams in their World Cup playoff group, have refused to play Russia in the foreseeable future.

However, in light of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Sweden’s refusal to compete against Russia, FIFA has refrained from sanctioning them.

Instead, the governing body has revealed intentions to relocate all fixtures to a neutral location, and their flag and national anthem would be prohibited from being shown at the designated stadium.

Russia is currently set to host Poland on March 24, with the winner playing either the Czech Republic or Sweden, but it is exceedingly improbable that either of those matches will take place on their planned dates.

Additionally, England has stated that they would not take part in any games against Russia.
