The Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Mikel Arteta fallout must have been really nasty, wasn’t it? The club’s Gabriel has now confirmed that it was the player against the coaching staff.
While we initially understood Aubameyang’s rift was solely between him and Arteta, it turns out the fight had more persons involved.
Gabriel, who joined the Gunners from Lille for £27m before the start of the term, said his teammates all wanted the Gabonese star to stay but sadly had a fallout with the coaches.
“Aubameyang is in my heart, we all wanted him at Arsenal. It’s something that happened between him and the coaching staff, the other players weren’t in it,” said Gabriel via OhMyGoal.
“I said goodbye to him before he left, I hope he enjoys Barcelona, he is a very nice person with a big heart and I love him very much,” he added.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are now training for the English Premier League battle against Watford at Vicarage Road this weekend.
