Football is so fascinating behind the scenes. Arsenal’s former star Nicolas Anelka has revealed having a private chat with Paul Pogba about the midfielder’s future.
Speculations about Pogba’s future are probably the longest-running in Premier League history, the French star has been that much unsettled at Old Trafford.
The latest reports say Anelka had a chat with Pogba about the Man United star moving to Paris Saint-Germain in the coming transfer window.
“If he wants to come to Paris? I discussed that six months ago with him and he would not be against coming to PSG,” Anelka told RMC Sport when asked about the likelihood of Pogba playing in the French capital.
“If he comes, we will forget all his injuries and we will see that he is a top player,” he added.
The former Real Madrid and FC Barcelona striker concluded to say Manchester is not good for Pogba’s mental health.
“I think PSG would be great for him. Some say it wouldn’t be good for Paris, as he is supposedly often injured. But I think his injuries are due to his life in Manchester, because he is not well psychologically.”
In the meantime, Pogba is looking ahead to United’s Manchester derby against City this weekend at the Etihad.
