Barcelona have advanced to the last 16 of the Europa League following a 4-2 victory over Napoli on Thursday night.

Napoli and Barcelona faced each at the back of 1-1 draw in the first leg staged at Nou Camp last week.

The Catalans took the lead in the eight-minute through Jordi Alba. There was a terrible corner from Napoli, conceded by Alba but it was easily cleared and Traore led the charge with his trademark pace. He raced down his right-hand side and none other than Alba who finished with the composure.

Barca doubled their lead through De Jong who close down as he strolled towards the goal, he was free to take aim from 25 yards and picked out a delightful finish.

Ter Stegen arrived late on Osimhen on the edge of the area and Karasev blew for a foul. Insigne stepped up and reduced the deficit for Napoli and were back in it.

Rui blocked Traore’s effort after De Jong smartly won the ball. The corner was recycled for Pique to restore Barcelona’s two-goal lead.

Weekend’s hattrick hero, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was on the scoresheet once again, making it 4-1 with a clinical finish.

In the 89th minute, Napoli once again reduced the deficit as Politano beat ter Stegen from near post with a low finish.
