Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has warned Manchester United ahead of their second leg meet-up at Old Trafford.
Atleti would rue the missed chances as United pegged them back in a match they had dominated for a chunk of time and hit the De Gea’s upright on so many occasions.
Speaking after the game, Simeone said: “They took the only chance they created in what was a good game from us. They took the only chance they created in what was a good game for us.
“Our team spirit was great, our collective work was great, our high press was great. Lots of things were great. I really liked how we competed and played the game. We need to carry on like this.
The atmosphere we experienced today at the Wanda @Metropolitano was amazing! 🥰
We will go to Manchester with everything.

“Almost everything we did in the game, we did really well. You’d think the advantage was with them, but with the away, goals rule change that’s not the case.”
In the game, substitute Anthony Elanga ensured that the game heads to Old Trafford at a leveled ground with a goal late on to cancel Joao Felix’s early opener.
