Luis Suarez

Manchester United might breathe a sigh of relief with the news that Luis Suarez is set to miss their Champions League tie set for Wednesday night.

Journalist Javier Diaz via the Mirror has claimed that the Uruguayan won’t be available for selection in the tie with Diego Simeone already planning to leave the forward out in the Round of 16 tie.

There is no reason that has been given towards such a move but it is said that Simeone will prefer to go defensive in the game and might be forced to play with only one striker.

Simeone may opt to play with five at the back, which rules out a starting spot for Suarez in the side as Angel Correa and Joao Felix may link upfront together against Man United on Wednesday. If this happens, it might be a threat eliminated for United with Suarez having been a constant threat to the club during his time at Liverpool.

Suarez has scored 11 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions this season but Someone doesn’t believe he has the energy he needs in his players for such kind of a tie as they seek to progress further in the competition.
