If you’ve watched enough of Chelsea in big games, you should easily agree with Thomas Tuchel here.

The Chelsea boss has looked ahead to the looming Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, saying his team produces magic when the pressure is at its worst.

With the Liverpool having overtaken the Blues in second place behind Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp’s team has become the better side going into the Carabao Cup final, but Chelsea have fresher experience in Cup finals.

“It should give us the belief that we are a competitive team and we are a team that can also deliver in knock-out games, in cup games, in tournament games,” said Tuchel via Chelsea’s media.

“It can bring out the very best in us which is only a good thing.

“But we have to admit that a Premier League season does not consist of only knock-out games. It’s a different challenge to be champions of the toughest competition in Europe and needs additional qualities that we need to be relentless to implement.

“The good news is there is no doubt that we are competitive, there is no doubt that we can step up under pressure, that we can deliver under pressure, that it brings out the very best in us. That’s why I think we should not start doubting or stop believing,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, it is time for the UEFA Champions League last 16 again. The champions will be at home to French giants Lille at Stamford Bridge.
