Kazuyoshi Miura

Surely you’ve heard of the Japanese star Kazuyoshi Miura by now. The world’s oldest footballer has now signed a new one-year contract extension.

The 54-year-old has put pen to paper at Suzuka Point Getters on loan from Yokohama FC in Japan.

The news was announced by the club on social media on Wednesday.

Miura was also available to share his thoughts on getting the new offer.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to play here and will do my best to contribute to the club on the pitch,” he said.

According to FIFA, as per Kick Off, the Egyptian Ezzeldin Bahader holds the Guinness World Record for playing n an official game while aged 74 and 125 days. The record was set in Egypt’s third division back on 6 March 2020.
