AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Eric Bailly on loan for the duration of the 2021-22 season from Manchester United.
The Italian giants are poised to recruit a new central defender during the January transfer window, following Simon Kjaer’s season-ending knee injury.
Milan have chosen Bailly as the ideal mid-season acquisition and are willing to explore a move before the end of the month, according to Sky Italia.
According to the source, Nathan Ake of Manchester City, Pablo Mari of Arsenal, and Malang Sarr of Chelsea are also being evaluated as prospective additions.
Bailly, who is currently on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, has made seven appearances for Manchester United in 2021-22, including four Premier League games.
The 27-year-old is down the pecking order at Old Trafford in terms of center-back places, but his contract is still two and a half years old.
