Former Manchester United star Roy Keane sounds fed up with Harry Maguire.
Keane’s attack comes after Maguire called on his teammates to “come out fighting” after a poor string of performances and ahead of their FA Cup clash against Aston Villa on Monday night.
While Maguire demanded his colleagues to show better quality and spirit in the coming games, Keane was left rather annoyed by it all.
“How many times has he said that?” Keane told ITV.
“I wouldn’t listen too much to what Harry has to say.
“I judge a player on what he does on a football pitch, not what rubbish he comes out with about ‘we need to stick together’.
“Judge a player on what happens on a football pitch.
“United aren’t doing enough, but Aston Villa at home, you’d expect them to turn up and put in a good performance. It’s not been good enough recently,” the Irish legend concluded.
Meanwhile United went on to scrap a 1-0 win over the Villians. Up next is another battle with Steven Gerrard’s side in the league this weekend.
