Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the most recent Liverpool player to test positive for the coronavirus.

Following a recent COVID-19 cluster, the Reds were obliged to close their training facilities, forcing the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final against Arsenal to be postponed.

Jurgen Klopp’s side has already recovered from the epidemic, defeating Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup third round, however, Alexander-Arnold was unable to play due to the virus.

According to Sky Sports News, the England international may be able to play against Arsenal in the rearranged first leg of their EFL Cup clash on Thursday.

Klopp returned to the bench at the weekend after being released from his seclusion, while Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino were both ready for first-team action.

After coming from behind to overcome Shrewsbury 4-1 at Anfield, Liverpool have been drawn against Cardiff City in the FA Cup fourth round.
