Arsenal is concerned about the absence of three players ahead of their EFL Cup semi-final against Liverpool.
The Gunners were dumped out of the FA Cup third round at the weekend by Nottingham Forest, and several key members of the squad were absent.
Emile Smith Rowe was out with a groin ailment, while Takehiro Tomiyasu was suffering from a calf issue. Meanwhile, Granit Xhaka received a positive COVID-19 result.
“I do not know. It will depend in the next few days how he is feeling,” Mikel Arteta told the press about Xhaka’s status for the Liverpool fixture.
The Arsenal boss also spoke about the other injuries saying: “Again, it depends how they evolve. They were injured. We have to see in the next few days how they are.”
The Gunners will travel to Anfield on Thursday for the opening leg of their semi-final against Liverpool, which was rescheduled due to COVID-19.
