Don’t we all just love a youngster coming from loan to prove he is now a man? Manchester United has recalled Will Fish to the senior side.
The club’s 18-year-old central defender returns from a spell at Stockport County, where he just two appearances.
“Manchester United can confirm that Will Fish has returned to the club from his loan spell with Stockport County,” the Red Devils announced on Friday.
“The recall clause in the loan agreement has been activated, ending Fish’s temporary stint at Edgeley Park.
“The centre-back, who has captained England up to Under-19 level, will now return to Carrington following his stint with the National League side.
“Fish made his United first-team debut in the 2-1 Premier League win at Wolverhampton Wanderers last May, in the final game of the Premier League season, and will now spend time with the Academy before determining the next step in his development at the club,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, United fans will be eager to observe how Fish will compete and learn from the likes of Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones.
