What a big mess this was. Romelu Lukaku has unsurpringly admitted that he lost it a little bit during his insanely controversial interview with Sky Sports last week.
As Futaa reported, Lukaku thought nothing of going to the media to express his unhappiness with Thomas Tuchel’s playing system before expressing his passionate love for his former club Inter Milan.
The Belgian was dropped from last weekend’s mammoth game against Liverpool.
According to Sky Sports, Lukaku has had clear-the-air talks with Tuchel and confessed he was completely out of line.
Additionally, he will not leave the club after the unbelievable disaster.
“Romelu Lukaku will stay at Chelsea following clear-the-air talks with Thomas Tuchel and the striker accepts his controversial interview with Sky in Italy was a mistake,” Sky said.
“Following conversations with Tuchel, there is now a commitment from all parties for Lukaku to move on from the interview and help Chelsea reignite their Premier League title bid.
“But a transfer away from Chelsea has never been discussed and he will not be leaving the club this month or next summer,” the report added.
Meanwhile, the Blues and Lukaku are looking ahead to Wednesday’s Carabao semi-final battle against Tottenham Hotspur.
