Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that they are planning to buy a striker soon.
City has been in the market for a striker since last summer when they lost Sergio Aguero to Barcelona and while they came close to securing the services of Harry Kane, the deal fell through in the last minutes.
“We haven’t bought a striker. Sooner or later this club will have to catch up. One day it will happen,” Guardiola said ahead of their tie with Leicester City.

The club has further lost Ferran Torres to FC Barcelona with Guardiola preferring to use attacking midfielders in the false nine positions.
Gabriel Jesus is the club’s main striker but Guardiola frequently used Torres and Raheem Sterling in the position.
