Manchester United striker Anthony Martial held talks with manager Ralf Rangnik about his future at the club on Wednesday.
Martial has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford with his agent revealing last month that the player wanted to leave in January in search of more game time something that United are willing to grant him if they find the right offer.
There have been reports that Laliga side Sevilla are keen on the player and Rangnik is said to be open to the idea as he looks to help United trim their bloated squad.
There were claims that Martial’s agent going public with the player’s situation had angered Rangnik as he was not consulted and according to the Independent Martial has moved with speed to mend the relationship between the duo as he feels United might play hardball come January after they felt disrespected.
Martial has missed Rangnick’s first three games in charge, against Crystal Palace, Young Boys and Norwich City, owing to a knee injury and it remains to be seen if he is involved against Newcastle at St James’ Park on Monday.
Sevilla, who have tried to sign Martial in the past, favoring a loan move the 26-year-old and, but might struggle to match his £200,000 a week plus wages in addition to funding a substantial transfer fee.
