Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester City over the transfer of winger Ferran Torres.

Reports emerging from Spain on Wednesday afternoon indicated the two sides agreed a fee in the region of €55M, with the deal now 99.9% done.

He will put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal, with final details being ironed out.

Torres, a versatile forward is seen as the right man to lead a new revolution at the Catalan club and has always been open to the idea of moving back to his country.

The need for a new forward has also been catalysed by the recent retirement of Sergio Aguero, with Xavi having only Martin Braithwaite and Luuk de Jong as his strikers.

Torres joined Manchester City from Valencia in August 2020 and has made 43 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side, raking in 16 goals and four assists along the way.
