Onuachu

Super Eagles will miss the services of Paul Onuachu after the forward picked up a hamstring injury during Genk’s 1-1 draw with Royal Antwerp on Sunday.

Onuachu lasted for 70 minutes before he was subbed off with Ike Ugbo taking his place. And now Genk head coach Bernd Storck has revealed the Nigerian will be out for up to four weeks after pulling his hamstring.

“It’s a muscle tear”, Storck said.

“I already had the impression that he was tired. When I asked how it went, he told me he could continue playing. I expect we will miss him for the next three to four weeks,” he concluded.

Matches Onuachu will miss

The 27-year-old will miss the remaining matches of the calendar but might be available on January 29th when his side takes on Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

Onuachu has netted twelve games for Genk so far this season.
