River Place forward Julian Alvarez has refused to rule out an exit amid rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.
Alvarez has been in fine form for Plate as he netted 18 goals while providing six assists to help his side with the Primera Division title last month. The 21-year-old’s performance has seen him linked with Europe’s elite clubs including the likes of Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
According to reports, United has joined the race for Alvarez’s signature with the Premier League side keen to launch a bid in January’s transfer window. The Red Devils could also wait until Alvarez]’s contract runs out next winter.
“Frankly, I don’t know what will happen, now I’m only thinking about celebrating. In January we will see,” he said
“We all know how much the World Cup means for a player. When I make my decision I’ll choose what’s best for me,” responded when asked whether the January move could jeopardize his hopes of securing a World Cup spot.
The Argentine’s released clause is believed to be around £17million though it might rise to £21m in the final ten days of the transfer window.
