Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal project as added a new high-profile scout.
The Gunners have hired former Bayern Munich scout Florian Bluchel, and he is tipped to channel talent from the Bundesliga.
With the club yet to make announce the deal, Football London believes the business has been done and dusted, subject to an official announcement.
“Arsenal have further bolstered their scouting department with the arrival of Florian Bluchel from Bayern Munich,” the outlet reported.
“Bluchel, 37, spent over a decade at the Bundesliga giants where he worked his way up from youth team video analyst to Head of Technical Scouting, while his most recent position was International Scout, focusing on the Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, North America and German markets.
“His role at Emirates Stadium will be as the club’s International First Team Scout for Germany, where he will combine traditional scouting methods with video analysis and next-gen player profiling,” the report added.
