Everton have been handed a massive injury blow with Richarlison ruled out for weeks with a calf injury.

Richarlison sustained a calf injury during Everton’s loss with coach Rafa Benitez revealing the Bralizian had a tear which will see him sidelined for a ‘number of weeks’.

The Brazilian now joins Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the list of injured players with the striker out since August with a thigh problem.

Summer signing Andros Townsend is also on the sidelines for a significant period at a key point of the season.

The 30-year-old sustained a small fracture in his foot in Sunday’s game and his injury will be assessed by specialists but midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has just returned from a similar problem and he missed five weeks.

Club captain Seamus Coleman is also out after sustaining bone bruising and soft tissue damage and faces a late assessment over the coming days.
