Tottenham is set to send a postponement request to the Premier League ahead of their match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Spurs have reportedly been hit by a Covid and might miss up to seven members of the first team with two backroom staff and while they will proceed and play their Europa Conference League clash with Rennes their weekend showdown against Brighton is now in question.

The Daily Mail reports that the Premier League is now expected to receive a request from Spurs to postpone the match set at the Amex with the setback set to force those affected into self-quarantine for ten days something that will leave the Antonio Conte men short.

Previous Covid-19 decisions have been made on a case-by-case basis, with prior requests from Aston Villa, Newcastle, Manchester City, and Fulham having been granted.

After Brighton, who themselves will have up to eight players missing due to injury or suspension, Tottenham is currently set to host Liverpool on Sunday, December 19th.
