Bruno Fernandes has described Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United’s Portuguese ace Bruno Fernandes has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a footballer who’s not dependant on anyone for motivation.

Fernandes’ praise follows after the 36-year-old Ronaldo marked a marvelous 800 career goals last week.

Ronaldo hit the 800 high score with a brace of goals against Arsenal as United runaway 3-2 winners on Thursday night.

So what does a fellow supreme talent in the dressing room make of such an accolade?

“What can you say about that? He’s incredible, we all know that, ” he told Amazon Prime.

“He’s proving game by game, year by year, season by season that he wants to keep being the best.

“He wants to be the best, and that’s what you want in your team.”

When asked if he thinks Ronaldo was motivated after being dropped to the bench for the Chelsea game last weekend, Fernandes added: “He doesn’t need that. He knows how to self-motivate himself.

“He doesn’t need anyone to motivate him, he knows how to do it and he will carry on scoring goals,” concluded United’s 2020/21 Footballer of the Season.

Up next for the Red Devils is a UEFA Champions League action at home to Swiss giants Young Boy.
