So what does a fellow supreme talent in the dressing room make of such an accolade?
“What can you say about that? He’s incredible, we all know that, ” he told Amazon Prime.
“He’s proving game by game, year by year, season by season that he wants to keep being the best.
“He wants to be the best, and that’s what you want in your team.”
When asked if he thinks Ronaldo was motivated after being dropped to the bench for the Chelsea game last weekend, Fernandes added: “He doesn’t need that. He knows how to self-motivate himself.
“He doesn’t need anyone to motivate him, he knows how to do it and he will carry on scoring goals,” concluded United’s 2020/21 Footballer of the Season.
