Premier League side Southampton FC are set to sign veteran goalkeeper Willy Caballero on a short-term deal.
Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has been left short in the department following injuries to Alex McCarthy (hamstring) and Fraser Forster (muscle) and according to The Athletic, the 40-year-old will be arriving at St. Mary’s to address the deficiency.

Caballero has the experience needed in the Premier League even though he was majorly used as a backup keeper in the seven years spent at Manchester City and Chelsea before seeing his contract expire at Stamford Bridge last summer.
He has been training at League One side AFC Wimbledon in order to maintain fitness with the reports claiming that the Argentine jumped at the chance to move to St Mary’s, and the deal is likely to be wrapped up in the coming week.
