Liverpool has set a new record in the Merseyside Derby after seeing archrivals Everton 4-1 at Goodison Park.

It was the Reds’ 41st victory at Goodison Park in the history of this fixture; an outing that means that they have won more Merseyside Derbies at Goodison Park than Everton.

In the game, Jurgen Klopp’s men came flying out of the blocks and took the lead through Jordan Henderson’s ninth-minute curler from the edge of the box.

They doubled their lead 10 minutes later through Mohamed Salah but Everton grew into the game and scored on the 38th minute through Demrai Gray’s fourth goal of the season.

After an end-to-end start to the second-half, Liverpool took control of the game once again and scored through Salah and Diogo Jota to condemn their rivals to their seventh loss of the season.

Everton are now eight games without a win as the pressure continues to mount on manager Rafa Benitez.
