Terry

Former Chelsea skipper John Terry has claimed the Blues have the best squad in the English Premier League.

The former England star further believes Thomas Tuchel’s side particularly have a potent frontline that will be enough to smash in goals more than any other team in the land.

“Just having that threat up front, we had it at Chelsea years ago with [Didier] Drogba and [Arjen] Robben and those type of players,” Terry said via the club’s website.

“You just feel like you’re going to outscore other teams. I think the strength and depth in their [Chelsea’s] squad looks to me by far the best in the league.”

Terry then concluded his assessment by saluting Chelsea’s proven ability to continue scoring and winning despite Romelu Lukaku’s injury absence.

“They’ve coped really well without him [Lukaku] and they’ve got players who turn up and score goals as well. I’ve been really impressed how they’ve dealt with it.

“Having Lukaku back in the run up to Christmas will be a big boost as well,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the mighty Manchester United will be in town this weekend to battle the European champions at Stamford Bridge.
