Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has revealed that he will return to Barcelona in the future.
The player who made a name with the Catalan giants left the club in the summer for PSG following his club’s financial constraints and while he has not hit the ground running in France, the team believes he will come good.
In an interview with Marca ahead of their Champions League tie with Man City on Wednesday, Messi admitted that he would return to Spain as he considered Barca home.
“I always said that at some point I will return to Barcelona because it is my home and because I am going to live there. And obviously, if I can contribute and help the club I would love to come back.
“I left there and time has passed. What they told me is that they couldn’t renew my contract and that I couldn’t stay. You don’t have to look for more culprits or look back at what happened. I’ll stick with what they told me and that’s it,” he said.
PSG are just a point below City with two games to go and a win against Man City will do them a huge favor in their dream of finishing the group on top.
